Caledonia Hits The Headlines!!!

Caledonia hit the headlines when it was launched as the main star in the Homecoming Scotland 2009 TV advertising campaign.
Sir Sean Connery, Lulu, Brian Cox and Amy MacDonald are just a few of the Scottish stars appearing in the new television advert encouraging Scotland’s people to take part in next year’s Homecoming celebrations. As well as stars of song and screen, sporting heroes including Sam Torrance and Chris Hoy are also adding their voices to the campaign.
First Minister Alex Salmond said: “Caledonia is a song that resonates with Scots the world over. For those far away it is a reminder of strong bonds, full of the promise of return. That is what makes it the perfect anthem for our Year of Homecoming.

Australian Tour a great success!
Dougie and Jenny have just returned from Oz. With Dougie's first ever concert in Perth, Western Australia and 3 great festivals (Port Fairy, Brunswick and Katoomba) plus prestigious concerts in Judith Wright Centre in Brisbane and at the Sydney Opera House, it certainly was a wonderful tour. Ending at Ararat Lodge on the beautiful Colo River with the 'Colo Celtic' Concerts was an inspired decision...and many believe these intimate and very relaxed concerts should become an annual 'event'! Photos and news of the tour will be added to the website very soon.
