Over this last year of global pandemic I think you could say there has been a lot of mutual sustenance happening with these concerts…you viewers from all over the world have kept us at Butterstone engaged, creative and productive and we know (from the many comments and emails) that the wee concerts have helped you all through as well. So we hope as many of you as possible will be able to share our celebration…whether live with us tonight or later on demand.
This concert will only be able to be viewed once you have purchased a ticket (£12 per ticket…approx $US16…which can be viewed by a full household!). Instructions are on the homepage. If you have already purchased a ticket make sure you have located your confirmation email with the link and passcode all ready. You can ask questions or get help only by emailing This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. up til 8.00pm on the night (UK time). A brief history…..repeated for those tuning in for the first time…We had the first broadcast of our wee live concerts on March 21st when lock-down (due to the Covid 19 epidemic ) began for us in Scotland. We broadcast free concerts every second night for 30 concerts, then twice a week til concert Live 40…and since then weekly. There have since been over two million views of the free of charge’ concerts via Facebook, Vimeo and YouTube from many different counties and we know from messages and emails that Dougie’s music and stories are still really helping so many to cope with the unusual, challenging and sometimes frightening times. It’s unlikely that touring and live concerts will be happening for a while yet and we’d like to develop further the great weekly connection we’ve made with our global audience. A ticketed concert once a month (the other Saturdays will remain 30 mins and free of charge) will help us to continue and develop sharing the music.
Keep looking after yourselves and each other and keep cheery!
Warmly,
Jenny
