The Story of the Live Concerts ... so far
We had the first broadcast of our wee concerts from Butterstone on March 21st, 2020 when lock-down (due to the Covid 19 epidemic ) began for us in Scotland. We broadcast free concerts every second night for 30 concerts, then twice a week til concert Live 40…and since then weekly.There have been over two and a half million views of those concerts via Facebook, Vimeo and YouTube from many different counties and we know from messages and emails that Dougie’s music and stories are still really helping so many cope with the unusual, challenging and sometimes still frightening times. Touring and live concerts ceased completely because of the Covid epidemic from March 2020 til September 2021 and are only in 2022 happening again more often! But there is something very special about the concerts live streamed to our growing global audience! So we are enjoying the process of continuing to develop further the great weekly connection we’ve made. Broadcasts are usuyally from the Old Schoolhouse in Butterstone, Perthshire but we have taken our global audience to the west coast of the Isle of Lewis and to other special venues in Scotland. A ticketed concert once a month helps us to continue sharing the music. Other wee 30 minute concerts will still be free of charge.
